Since graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011, Duncan has gained extensive experience of veterinary orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Duncan completed his certificate studies as the Lead Surgeon in several large hospitals and has been practicing advanced small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging ever since. Since 2021, he has been working as a peripatetic surgeon

Duncan’s main area of clinical interest is orthopaedics however, he is capable of assisting your pet with a wide variety of procedures. These range from correction of Brachycephalic Obstructive Airways Syndrome (BOAS), thoracic surgery and complex oncology resection, to managing cruciate ligament disease, arthroscopy and complex fracture repair.
In his spare time, Duncan enjoys snowboarding, has a keen interest in cars and enjoys spending time with his young family.

Susanne Pender

Susanne is an advanced small animal veterinary physiotherapist and chartered physiotherapist with specialist clinical skills in movement analysis and therapeutic handling. She has worked in the clinical field for over 20 years and specialises in the recognition of dysfunctional movement patterns. She uses multimodal approaches to treatment to ensure every animal moves as efficiently as possible, regains lost function and helps prevents further injury inducing compensatory movement patterns from occurring.

Susanne offesr an in-depth assessment, followed by a comprehensive treatment of your animal in clients own homes through a combination of movement and manual therapies, soft tissue and proprioceptive enrichment techniques and electrotherapies.

Susanne is passionate about her work and only uses positive behavioural modification techniques, ensuring that the patient actively engages with her to achieve the most efficient movement patterns and functional outcomes.
​
Susanne works closely with owners, focusing on normal biomechanics to enable them to recognise dysfunctional movement patterns early on, this empowers you to be a key part of the rehabilitation process and supports you to follow the bespoke home exercise programmes.

Suzanne Greeff

If Duncan is a Dog person, Suzanne is most definitely a cat person! Suzanne initially studied History at the University of Winchester before having a complete career change and moving into the veterinary field.
​
In 2011, she joined a small animal hospital and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. Suzanne has since gained extensive experience in all aspects of nursing including hospital and multidisciplinary referral environments. This includes spending several years as a dedicated Cat Referral Nurse.
​
In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys snowboarding, gardening and spending time with her family and menagerie (including 9 ducks, 1 Ragdoll cat and 2 lively Springer Spaniels!).
You are likely to see Suzanne out and about providing anaesthesia support as well as remotely for all of your queries and patient follow ups.

Lucy Sugden
IMSc Veterinary Physiotherapist, RAMP Level 3 Small Animal Hydrotherapist
Since graduating from Writtle University College, Lucy has expanded her knowledge and developed experience in post operative orthopaedic rehabilitation. Working in clinical settings, alongside treating patients at their homes and in a hydrotherapy setting, has helped to create a comprehensive skill set and approach to rehabilitating your animals.
Lucy uses postural and gait analysis, hands on palpation assessments, electrotherapy treatment, and exercise regimes, to help aid your animal back to functional movement and relief from any discomfort. Treating not just the primary issue, but any secondary issues from abnormal movement patterns they may have developed.
A combination of detailed analysis, well thought through management strategies, hands on treatment sessions, and exercise programmes, aids in obtaining the best mobility possible for your animals, and prevents any future injury.
